The hot stone massage is carried out with heated basalt stones which glide smoothly along your skin by using oils. In addition to the massage effect, the heat furthers the relaxation of the muscles. The hot stone massage is a very relaxing and calming massage but on request can also be supported with selected techniques of swedish massage. The additional massage techniques seem encouraging and have an effect on the blood circulation.

The sports massage is a special type of massage offered to competitive athletes as well as people who do sport as a hobby or leisure activity. Adapted specifically to the individual sport concerned, it varies in intensity from gentle to very firm. This form of massage makes use of a range of techniques including kneading, stroking, rhythmic compression, shaking and fascial release techniques. It is used to prepare for competitions, as well as for regeneration and recovery from injury.

Fascia massage

The foot reflexology massage is believed that each organ or body part corresponds to a particular zone of the foot. Specific pressure points are stimulated and calmed by special techniques. This can sometimes be unpleasant, but they stimulate the connected organ or body part positively. Please do not compare this massage with the Swedish Massage which only relaxes the foot.

During a 35-minute massage, an experienced massage therapist will target the specific source of individual back pain. Special techniques can also be applied. The massage incorporates a special oil comprising aloe vera, castor, black cumin, calendula and camphor which is prized for its stimulating effect on the metabolism. Afterwards, a 20-minute warm hay flower pack sets the tone for deep relaxation. Hay also stimulates the metabolism and helps to relieve pain, while supporting the body’s natural cleansing and detoxification processes.

Ayurveda sound journey

That’s not easy to answer. As a rule, a few days to a week in advance ought to be enough. But the earlier you book, the better! Try to avoid short-notice reservations: at the weekends, during school holidays in Vienna, over Christmas, or if you want to book a specific massage therapist, a treatment intended specifically for male or female guests or at a specific time of day, or want to arrange an appointment for more than one person at once.

When purchasing an admission ticket or a service for a specific date, there is no right of cancellation in accordance with the relevant provisions of the FAGG (Austrian Distance Selling Act).

Rebooking is possible up to 1 minute before the start of the event (tickets, Relax! One Day Holiday, Family Nest = 9:00 am; massage = booked time). A service fee of € 5.00 will be charged.

For registered users, bookings made via the webshop are carried out independently via the webshop account.

If bookings have been made in the webshop with a guest account, they will be processed by telephone or by e-mail to thermenmassage@thermewien.at.

Yes, you can also come for a massage without entering the spa. To do so, please use the Therme Wien Fitness entrance at Kurbadstrasse 16. It is only a few minutes’ walk from the underground station along Kurbadstrasse.

You do not need to bring any towels or sheets – these are provided free of charge.
If you come just for a massage (i.e. you are not a spa guest) and want to shower before or after the treatment, it would be advisable to bring pool slippers.

Vouchers come with a one-year price guarantee from the date of purchase, after which point they are valid for a further four years – but you will need to make up the difference if the price increases in the meantime.

Yes, we offer both our Classic Massage and Aroma Massage for children, each lasting 25 minutes. Our therapists adjust the treatment and pressure to suit the child’s age and individual needs. Please note that children aged 14 and over may be treated without accompaniment. For younger children, an adult must be present in the massage room during the treatment.

If you have symptoms such as a runny nose, cough, body aches or fever, we kindly ask you not to book an appointment, or to reschedule an existing one. This is for your own wellbeing, as a massage may worsen your symptoms, and also to protect our therapists and other guests.
